Resume Rules

Standard rules to follow when creating your resume.

  1. Keep your design simple - Do not include various designs, font sizes or colors. Keep the design easy to read and follow.
  2. Color paper - Reframe from using color paper. Stay with the standard white, ivory, or linen.
  3. Proof read - Have someone to proof read your resume to ensure there are no errors.
  4. Consistency - Be sure the information you include is consistent with your work experience that you place on applications.
  5. Pictures - Unless required, do not include a picture on your resume.
